Clintwood sweeps.
Yes I actually said Clintwood swept.

Girls won, not a real pretty game but lead decently throughout.

Boys game was actually pretty exciting. Clintwood misses the second shot on a free throw, Chris Robinson gets the board and hits a shot to tie the game. Haysi has the ball, brings it down the court over half court, Vanover gets a steal, brings it down, hits a turn around shot just beyond the free throw line as the buzzer sounds to win it. Huge game for Vanover (31 points).

I'll say this for the Wave so far, good leadership and good chemistry so far. Hope it continues.

One of the best basketball games I've seen. Vanover was very Brandon Green/Justin Hamiltonish. Couldnt be stopped, driving the lane, shooting from outside, and rebounding. Very impressive.

Mills left me scratching my head numerous times with his lineups and substitutions. I think we have 2 solid post players who need to touch the ball down on the block every offensive possession.

All in all Clintwood looked very good considering we have had maybe 5 days of practice.

Very impressed with Jelane Mock. He may be the most improved player I've seen this season.

Mock was very solid and Haysi will get better as the season goes on (they have only had 2 weeks of practice and it will take a bit for the football to get out of them.

The team that left me scatching my head was Councel they did not look very good at all

At times, Council looked good offensively. They have some good scorers. Justin Fuller looked really good on the onside. The thing that hurt Council more than anything is that they have little or no defense.

Props too go to Toby Garrett from Ervinton who seems to have stepped up into the role of team leader and was playing with an injured hand.
